Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking two mainframe developers for code review and reverse engineering of mainframe systems. The role involves identifying data sources, conducting data analysis, and understanding business logic for over 160 view direct reports.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews of mainframe applications to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Perform reverse engineering to identify data sources and understand the flow of data within the systems.
• Analyze and interpret complex data structures and business logic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide insights.
• Document findings and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to mainframe applications.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mainframe development.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years of experience as a day-to-day Mainframe Developer working with IBM Db2, Mainframe TSO, Mainframe JCL, and Mainframe data structure.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews of mainframe applications to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Perform reverse engineering to identify data sources and understand the flow of data within the systems.
• Analyze and interpret complex data structures and business logic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide insights.
• Document findings and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to mainframe applications.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mainframe development.
• Proven experience as a Mainframe Developer with expertise in code review and reverse engineering.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
• Experience with data analysis and understanding of data structures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
