Job description
The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Geriatric Nursing Assistant performs a variety of individualized patient care activities including bathing, dressing, feeding and transporting as well as related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the geriatric patient population.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active CNA with Geriatric Certification, required
- Experience with memory care patients, preferred
- Prefer one year of geriatric nursing assistant experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years.
- Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and having the ability to be work with geriatrics per state requirements. • Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions.
- Current CPR
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Position Title: GNA/CMT
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Openings: 3
- 2 – 2:45pm-11:15pm - M-F & EOW/holiday (1 current offer/acceptance - Tavia Luster)
- 1 - 10:45pm-7:15am - M-F & EOW/holiday (1 current sub - Talia Poe)
- These openings is solely for a candidate with both CMT and GNA certifications
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend/holiday required
- Contract Duration: 8 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Specific licensure and certifications/registrations required: GNA and CMT certification required.
- Pay Rate: $25 x 40hrs = $1,000
- Hours worked over 40 will be paid out at a time & a half ($25 x 1.5 = $37.50)
- OT may be available but is not guaranteed
