Job description

Role and Team Context

The Senior Product Manager for the UI Platform is a high-impact individual contributor role, serving as a cornerstone for Okta's global user experience infrastructure. Joining the Product Platform group, you will own the foundational architecture that ensures every Okta product is elegant, scalable, and performant.

Your role extends across owning the UI framework, design systems, localization/globalization frameworks, and accessibility (WCAG) standards, you provide the critical infrastructure that enables a cohesive, high-quality experience for Okta Workforce Identity products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Product Vision: Define and champion the technical evolution of the Okta UI framework. Ensure the platform serves as a single source of truth for core administrative experiences across Okta products.
  • Platform Roadmap Ownership: Prioritize and execute a complex roadmap across design systems, globalization, and accessibility. You will balance the needs of multiple product lines to ensure a unified developer and end-user experience.
  • Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global engineering, design, and research teams to deliver infrastructure that supports Okta's massive scale.
  • Ecosystem Synthesis: Engage with global customers and internal stakeholders to synthesize complex requirements into broad-value features that support a diverse, international ecosystem.
  • Data-Driven Developer Experience: Leverage product data to optimize the developer experience for internal teams using the UI platform, defining and analyzing metrics that measure the performance and adoption of platform initiatives.
  • North America Based Execution: Lead the execution of the roadmap in direct partnership with development scrum teams (Engineering, UX, and Product) to deliver high-quality, resilient features.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of Product Management experience specifically within enterprise-scale SaaS platforms or core software infrastructure.
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical experience that enables you to rationalize and influence complex architectural decisions.
  • Proven ability to produce solid, actionable plans from incomplete, conflicting, or highly ambiguous inputs.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of successfully collaborating across global functions and time zones.
  • Demonstrated business results from platform capabilities or products you have shipped at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience managing design systems, UI frameworks, or core software platforms.
  • Deep familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM), digital security protocols, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Proven expertise in managing localization/globalization at scale and ensuring compliance with WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and agile development methodologies.
  • Advanced degree in a technical field or an MBA.
