Mechatronics Manager / Engineering Manager – Mechatronics

Greater Chicago Area | Full-Time | On-Site

My client, a leading manufacturer of custom-engineered industrial systems, is seeking a Mechatronics Manager to lead the innovation, design, and integration of electromechanical subsystems across new and existing product lines.

This is a hands-on, full-time leadership role at the intersection of mechanical design, controls engineering, and automation which is ideal for a technical leader with LabVIEW expertise ready to drive high-impact engineering initiatives from concept to launch.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead software and automation design for new product development
  • Manage the integration of mechanical and electronic systems, including PLCs, sensors, motors, and wiring
  • Supervise engineering staff and provide technical mentorship and direction
  • Collaborate with operations, R&D, and field support to drive system reliability and performance
  • Ensure alignment with product standards, safety protocols, and customer specifications
  • Develop schedules, resource plans, and documentation for complex engineering programs
About You
  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering required
  • Deep understanding of LabVIEW architectural design principles
  • Proficiency programming in LabVIEW
  • Experience leading engineering projects and/or teams in an industrial product environment
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
