Job description

 Intern will gain experience with programming assignments including coding, testing, debugging and installing programs according to written specifications, and department policies, procedures, and standards. Assist with design of enhancements to existing systems. Mentors with and provides assistance to the System Analyst/Programmers. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others.

This position may be eligible for scholarship funding. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Position requires familiarity with software development languages like Java, .Net, and full stack web application skills.
  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled sophomore or junior in undergraduate study program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The internship will provide the opportunity to assist in the following areas:

  • Complete modifications to existing programs as directed to correct known problems or to implement changes requested by the user.
  • Devise, document and conduct unit tests of modified and new programs in accordance with their stated specifications.
  • Assist with the analysis in conjunction with a Software Developer and user to automate or enhance business processes.
  • Modify existing program documentation in accordance with established standards.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned. 

The internship is located onsite at our corporate campus in Bismarck, ND. Work hours may vary from 15-20 hours per week dependent on business need and college schedule. The opportunity to work up to 40 hours may be available during summer and other school breaks. 


Hourly Wage: $19.50
