Job description

You down with e-commerce and retail fulfillment? We’re on the search for an Inventory Support Supervisor for our Riverside Distribution Center. This position will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory and successful completion of our cycle count program.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the Inventory Support department. Daily operations include cycle counting, inventory transfers, QC/RTV pulls, locating lost/aging inventory, reconciling large inventory adjustments, and the usual distribution center tasks. This position reports the Operations Manager of Inventory.

Shift Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, overtime on Saturday during Peak and as needed based on workload.

What You’ll Do
  • Supervise the development and performance of the Inventory Team, consisting of 1 Team Lead & 5 associates, including daily operational procedures
  • Conduct training classes and provide instruction for associates
  • Respond to internal and external partners regarding PO updates, cycle count progress, and other inventory inquiries in a timely manner
  • Research and track down aging inventory to ensure it is putaway or processed in a timely manner
  • Monitor process accuracy as compared to established goals and coaches/recognizes associates accordingly
  • Supervise the reconciliation of cycle counts as well as annual physical inventories
  • Create an environment of teamwork, collaboration and open communication
  • Understand and manage all safety procedures and ensuresafe work practices are followed and maintained
  • Monitor daily staff to ensure completion of distribution center tasks in a timely and accurate manner on a day-to-daywork plan
  • Conduct Observations daily to provide coaching and feedback to associates
  • Makes adjustments as needed to meet deadlines & performs other job duties as required
What You’ll Need
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a fulfillment center or warehouse/distribution center supervising 20+ people
  • Inventory Control experience a plus
  • Experience working with various Warehouse Management Systems. (i.e. Manhattan, Red Prairie, Highjump)
  • Ability to lead and develop people in a team environment
  • Solid knowledge in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and a computerized warehouse management system
  • Familiarity with LEAN production work methods
  • Illustrates a dedication to meeting the requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly
  • High communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback, and solid verbal and written communicator

$66,000 - $72,000 a year
