Inventory Coordinator

Reports to Inventory Supervisor

Hours Monday-Friday 7am-3pm Eligible for OT

Job Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory control throughout the plant and is directly responsible for cycle counting in the facility. This role will report directly to the Inventory Supervisor, analyze inventory data, cycle counts and ensure accuracy of inventory records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Always promote safety and quality within the plant
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels
  • Ensure activities are focused on relentless execution of continuous supply of goods and materials to production
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock checks, reconciling discrepancies, and updating the inventory management system.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and policies to minimize losses and reduce costs.
  • Accurately record and document inventory data
  • Review inventory records and transactions for accuracy
  • Prepare and submit reports to management
  • Manage inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
  • Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Communicates with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues..
  • Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed to management

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:  

  • Previous experience as an Inventory Coordinator or related position
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
  • 2-3 years of experience in a logistics function preferred  
  • Knowledge of the protective packaging industry is preferred.  
  • Experience with data analysis and related tools (Excel expertise is a must); knowledge of SAP is beneficial  
  • Ability to manage projects or threads of projects and perform self-directed work.  
  • Effective problem-solving skills and various requirements gathering techniques.  

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’s total compensation package. The hourly base pay range for this role is estimated to be $21-$26 per hour
