The (USA) Director, Data Architecture leads the design and implementation of comprehensive data solutions that support business objectives and operational efficiency. This role oversees data governance and strategy to ensure data quality, security, and accessibility across multiple platforms. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the director drives innovation in data harmonization while guiding and mentoring associates. By aligning data initiatives with organizational goals, this position enhances decision-making capabilities and promotes scalable, reliable data ecosystems that deliver measurable business value.

The team establishes and maintains a unified workforce language to support data governance and stewardship, delivering global workforce metrics, KPIs, and SLAs. They focus on data first principles to ensure reliable and fit-for-purpose data. Collaborating across business domains, the team drives data governance practices and aligns data initiatives with organizational objectives. They provide guidance on data sourcing, integration, and quality management while fostering continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory standards. This team plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making and advancing Walmart’s data capabilities globally.   • Extensive experience in data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling across relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Redshift, Azure, BigQuery, and Snowflake, and big data technologies like Hadoop and Kafka.
