Location Priority

This is an in-office position, so candidates must be within driving distance to our Saugerties, NY office location.

Job Description (Including but not limited to):

The Radiology Coordinator role is centered around the facilitation of independent and Independent Medical Examination (IME) related radiology reviews within the framework of the Compilations Department. This position involves orchestrating the entire process of radiology assessments, ensuring seamless collaboration with other departments and stakeholders. The Radiology Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating and organizing the radiology review procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the Compilations Department's operations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Effectively upload all radiology studies, ensuring their proper filing and organization for easy access
  • Skillfully prepare, send, and confirm all radiology reviews, managing the entire process with meticulous attention to detail
  • Take charge of communication with defense counsel and specialists, addressing specific instructions and requests promptly
  • Manage mailing processes and confirm the receipt of radiology reviews, proactively resolving any issues such as missing studies or accessibility concerns
  • Build and maintain radiology review services in Viewpoint, creating and overseeing all follow-up notes for comprehensive recordkeeping
  • Demonstrate availability to assist with compilations when needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department
  • Monitor pending Radiology Retrievals for cases involving open Independent Medical Examination (IME) services, ensuring timely acquisition of necessary materials crucial for generating comprehensive reports
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of existing IME services to determine whether additional studies need to be dispatched, appropriately delegated, or if there is an opportunity to introduce new services that align with client requirements and preferences

Daily Tasks

  • Engage in professional and timely email communication with defense and experts, providing necessary updates, addressing inquiries, and maintaining a clear and effective line of communication throughout the case
  • Uploading of discs received via email/hard copy from defense or retrievals
  • Prioritize and manage a self-directed workload, ensuring task lists are consistently maintained and updated to accommodate changing deadlines
  • Take primary responsibility for the timely receipt of discs/films in the office
  • Ensure that all radiology is complete and available and sent to experts two weeks before scheduled appointment dates
  • Proactively maintain and update task lists to navigate dynamic deadlines effectively

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective correspondence with defense, experts, and team members
  • Knowledge of radiology and medical terms, familiarity with AMBRA
  • Comprehension of the process of uploading discs

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.

Working Conditions

This position is an in-office role, which requires regular travel to our Saugerties office location. All Employees residing within 75 miles of the office may be required to maintain regular in-office attendance. Employees residing outside of 75 miles may be required to travel intermittently to the office (travel expenses covered by the company) and attend company-hosted events with advance notice.
