Job description

Arc of Acadiana is seeking an experienced and mission-driven leader to serve as our Residential Services Director (ICF Administrator) for South Louisiana. This leadership position is responsible for the overall administration, regulatory compliance, operational performance, and strategic direction of our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) Residential Program.
The Residential Services Director provides leadership and oversight for multiple residential homes serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centered, and high-quality services. This position serves as the designated ICF Administrator and is accountable for survey readiness, licensing compliance, quality assurance, risk management, workforce leadership, and operational excellence across the residential program.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight of all Residential Community Group Home operations.
  • Serve as the designated ICF Administrator and maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, Medicaid, and licensing requirements.
  • Lead regulatory surveys, audits, investigations, corrective action planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Directly supervise residential and nursing leadership staff, providing coaching, accountability, and professional development.
  • Ensure participant health, safety, welfare, and quality outcomes across all residential locations.
  • Monitor program performance, staffing effectiveness, operational metrics, and compliance indicators.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, resources, and strategic priorities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, regulatory excellence, and person-centered services.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support organizational goals and long-term program success.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Significant related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in residential services, healthcare, developmental disabilities services, or a related field required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience required.
  • Experience managing multiple locations, departments, or programs preferred.
  • Experience with ICF regulations, licensing surveys, Medicaid requirements, and regulatory compliance strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) regulations, Medicaid requirements, licensing standards, and residential service delivery.
  • Knowledge of services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, survey readiness, quality assurance, and risk management practices.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable leadership staff across multiple locations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with leadership, staff, families, guardians, and regulatory agencies.

Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel regularly between residential locations.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and operational needs outside of normal business hours when necessary.
