The Opportunity

You'll lead and support high-voltage substation projects up to 765kV, delivering both physical and protection & controls design for some of the most advanced power infrastructure in the industry. Your work will span substation design, renewables integration, HVDC, BESS, and other critical grid modernization projects. Your Day-to-Day
  • Lead substation projects from concept through construction, covering physical design, protection & controls, and system integration
  • Develop drawings, schematics, station layouts, relay panel wiring, grounding systems, and auxiliary power designs
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of design packages and ensure deliverables meet technical and client standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and oversee project team output
  • Coordinate directly with clients, vendors, and internal project teams to maintain technical excellence across every phase
  • Prepare budgets, schedules, and procurement specifications for substation construction
  • Support business development efforts and present proposals and designs to prospective clients
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in high-voltage substation design (physical and/or protection & controls)
  • Background as a project lead or technical specialist on substation programs
  • Strong QA/QC discipline and proven client coordination skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office
