Healthcare Software Engineer(Staten Island, NY) Position Summary

iOrtho is seeking an experienced Healthcare Software Engineer to develop innovative technology solutions that enhance patient care, streamline operations, and improve revenue cycle performance. Working directly with physician leadership, this role will design and build proprietary software, AI-powered applications, and system integrations that support billing, coding, claims management, analytics, scheduling, and practice operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated developer who enjoys solving complex challenges and creating practical technology that delivers measurable business results.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop custom software applications, plugins, and internal tools
  • Build AI-powered solutions to improve revenue cycle management, medical billing, and operational workflows
  • Develop integrations with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management systems using APIs and healthcare interoperability standards
  • Create automation tools that reduce manual administrative tasks and improve efficiency
  • Develop dashboards and reporting platforms to support financial, operational, and clinical decision-making
  • Collaborate with physicians, billing specialists, and administrative leadership to identify workflow improvements
  • Evaluate and implement emerging artificial intelligence technologies that support healthcare operations
