ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Set-up and operate production on various types of grinding machines to grind a variety of parts according to standardized documentation. All part features such as: flat surfaces, outside and inside diameters, shoulders, tapers, and contours are required to meet finish and dimensional specifications established in the standardized documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of simple algebra and geometry and a practical working knowledge of some specialized field or trade. (Equivalent to four years of high school)
  • One or more years’ experience in one of the following types of grinding:
    • Rotary surface grinding
    • ID / OD grinding
    • Centerless grinding
    • Sphere grinding
  • Ability to continuously (50% or more of the time) lift or carry of 0-15 lbs. material. Frequent (10-50% of the time) lifting or carrying of material of 15-50 lbs.
