Dermalogica is the #1 choice of skin care professionals worldwide, developed by The International Dermal Institute. We are a professional-grade skin health brand with a 40-year legacy of education-led innovation and a global community of skin therapists who deliver our services in over 100 countries. We believe skin health is health - and that the most powerful tool in skin care has always been expert human hands.

SUMMARY

Dermalogica is the professional skin care brand trusted by skin therapists worldwide - built on the principle that great skin health begins with expert hands and personalized care. The Director, Global Service Innovation is the person who shapes what that means next.

This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role responsible for defining and executing a global vision for skincare services - from the bespoke in-spa treatment to entirely new service models reaching new consumers in new venues. You will build on a category-leading legacy while identifying the paradigms, partnerships, and modalities that will keep Dermalogica at the forefront of professional skin care for years to come.

This role sits at the intersection of sensory design, marketing strategy, and operational excellence. You are equally at home crafting the in-treatment experience as you are building the business case to scale it globally. You understand that a truly great service is only great if it can be trained, replicated, and delivered with consistency and craft by skin therapists around the world.

WHAT YOU WILL DODefine the Future of Skincare Services
  • Develop and own a bold, long-term vision for Dermalogica’s global service portfolio — spanning treatment protocols, in-venue experiences, professional products and emerging service models.
  • Identify where new consumer occasions, channels, and technologies create opportunities to extend the brand’s service presence beyond the traditional treatment room.
  • Champion the role of the skin therapist as the irreplaceable human touchpoint at the center of every service experience
Lead Cross-Functional Execution
  • Lead global, cross-functional teams with clarity and discipline — setting ambitious goals, maintaining high standards, and delivering on timelines.
  • Partner closely with Dermalogica’s industry-leading Education team to develop protocols and training programs that can be delivered at scale worldwide.
  • Collaborate with Global Product Innovation to ensure service thinking is embedded in key product launch roadmaps from the earliest stages.
  • Work with Global Marketing to develop the stories, content, and marketing materials that make Dermalogica services known, desired, and booked.
Build Strategic Partnerships
  • Develop partnerships that expand the brand’s service footprint - whether through new venue types, clinical modalities (including microneedling, IPL, aqua dermabrasion, electrical current technologies), or other channels that authentically extend the Dermalogica experience.
  • Evaluate emerging service trends and modalities for strategic fit, bringing a rigorous, brand-right lens to every opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate brings a rare combination: the creative instinct to imagine what a service experience could be, and the operational rigor to make it global in scale.

  • Entrepreneurial drive. You think big and execute. You have a track record of launching or significantly scaling a service-based concept — whether through your own venture, within an innovation agency, or in a complex corporate environment. You know what it takes to go from vision to delivered experience.
  • A genuine innovation mindset. You don’t wait for best practices to emerge — you help define them. You are energized by ideating newer, better ways to bring services to life, and you bring others along in that process.
  • Professional service expertise. You carry real insider knowledge. Deep experience in medical aesthetics, luxury beauty, high-end hospitality, or clinical skin care gives you credibility with therapists, partners, and professional audiences.
  • Strong cross-functional influence. You are a natural leader who earns buy-in through clarity, conviction, and authentic collaboration. You've successfully aligned stakeholders across functions and geographies to move ambitious ideas forward.
  • Marketing fluency. You understand how to bring a service to market - from naming and positioning to in-venue theatre and digital storytelling. You know that a great service experience lives or dies on how it's communicated.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Licensed skin therapist
  • Experience working within or alongside a service innovation agency.
  • Background in advanced aesthetics, medical skin care, or clinical treatment environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing training programs for complex, sensory-led services at scale.
