Job description

The Human Resources Director of Training & Development Focus serves as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals. This role is heavily focused on designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training and development programs that enhance employee performance, leadership capability, and organizational effectiveness. The HR Director will play a key role in building a culture of continuous learning while supporting talent development, succession planning, and workforce readiness.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTraining & Development (Primary Focus)Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs across all levels of the organization (e.g., onboarding, compliance, leadership development, technical skills).Lead organizational learning initiatives, including management training programs, career pathing, and succession planning efforts.Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department leaders to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.Develop and manage internal training platforms (e.g., learning management systems) and track employee progress and completion rates.Evaluate training effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and performance outcomes; continuously improve programs based on results.Facilitate workshops, seminars, and leadership development sessions.Support the creation of internal programs such as leadership academies or workforce development initiatives.Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and departmental goals.Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.Support managers in coaching, feedback, and employee engagement strategies.Assist in workforce planning and talent management initiatives.Performance Management & Talent DevelopmentLead performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development planning.Identify high-potential employees and support leadership development and succession planning.Promote a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.Compliance & PolicyEnsure all training programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.Maintain accurate records of training completion and certifications.Stay current on HR best practices, employment laws, and training trends.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position works in an office environment and requires sitting at a computer for prolonged periods of time.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and levels of work to be performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, or related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong emphasis on training and development.Proven experience designing and delivering training programs and leadership development initiatives.Experience working as an HR Manager, Director or similar strategic HR role.Skills & CompetenciesStrong facilitation and presentation skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS).Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design. #J-18808-Ljbffr
