Job description

Position Summary:

We have an immediate opening for a growth-based client Managing Director, Sourcing & Procurement. As this role is a key member of our Account Leadership team, you will be responsible for leading LogicSource's relationship, service delivery and economic outcomes for a critical client and of course, LogicSource. The Managing Director will have responsibility for managing a leading client in the Healthcare and Higher Education industry and ensuring value capture, same account growth over time, advocacy of our relationship both internally and externally and operating according to our standards of operational excellence. In this capacity, the Managing Director will ensure achievement of aggressive category management plans, operational redesign and process improvements and savings goals.  This role will establish the overall Indirect Spend governance structure in collaboration with Senior Client Executive Sponsors.  This position will report directly to LogicSource's Industry Partner for similar clients.  

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with business unit executive sponsors and stakeholders to ensure alignment of Indirect Category Management plans and achievement of overall savings targets.
  • Lead Indirect Spend category management responsible for LogicSource's Procurement Transformation program to ensure immediate and ongoing Client value through cost reduction, market insights, strategic supplier relationship management and operational efficiencies.
  • Establish executive-level trust, influence decision making and act as a strategic advisor to the client on business, operational and strategic sourcing transformational initiatives.
  • Oversee delivery and quality across all workstreams of our engagement, ensuring commitments are met with excellence and client expectations are exceeded.
  • Identify, lead and drive business processes in-source/outsource and operational redesign activities. You will closely collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure realization of cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Drive Change Management programs to influence behaviors across the business to align with a mature procurement model and ensure timely execution of spend optimization initiatives.
  • Establish and oversee Indirect Spend program office and governance structure to ensure client executive sponsorship and alignment across client and achievement of savings goals.
  • Create immediate cost savings and next-level advantage for the client where spend and sourcing productivity have both a near and long-term impact.
  • Identify and implement a sourcing prioritization model driven by both benchmarking and category best practices assessment features.  Lead decision-making and broad team resource planning to staff sourcing plans.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with LogicSource's Center of Excellence (COE) resources to drive savings opportunities and effectively manage vendor partners to maintain the highest standards for quality and delivery.Facilitate communication between client business units, internal stakeholders, and suppliers for effective operation and delivery.
  • Build business cases to influence stakeholders to adopt different and more valuable models for procurement engagement.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and support to onsite and cross-functional teams to ensure they understand their roles and interdependence in the delivery of sustainable services.
  • Create and manage a high-performing team, which not only delivers operational excellence, but keeps team members engaged and thriving.
  • Continuously improve sourcing processes, drive cost reduction, and shape the future supply chain.
  • Identify trends and develop solutions for the ever-changing landscape in geopolitical, competitive, environmental landscapes.
  • Ensure operational discipline is maintained to create a repeatable and scalable program.
  • Build and effectively maintain relationships within all organizational levels, including the C-Suite, delivering client service objectives. Deliver both internal and external customer advocacy through exceptional delivery and relationship management.
  • Drive same account growth opportunities to at minimum exceed baseline, booked revenues.
  • Ensure absolute operational excellence to the client, with all resources, processes and technology with which the client is engaged.
  • Develop perspective and bring forth recommendations on new offerings, capabilities and solutions that LogicSource should create or co-create with key clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Experience managing commercial, service provider relationships with major corporations in procurement, supply chain, IT, facilities management or tangential solution areas.
  • Minimum of 15 years or progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing & procurement across a broad set of indirect categories.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare and higher education industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with multi-year experience building, managing and delivering against P&L's.
  • Track record of growth in managing relationships over time.
  • Entrepreneurial aptitude with a commitment to operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to develop relationships, communicate effectively and influence senior level management.
  • Ability to manage a group of your peers through influence to affect positive outcomes.
  • Proven Innovator with significant demonstrated experience in driving operational and organizational change management.
  • Ability to gain consensus across multiple business units' company wide.
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Ability to successfully function at a strategic level as well as a hands-on tactical individual contributor that is comfortable in both operational details and high-level, strategic client interactions.

Travel: This is a hybrid role that requires a commitment to regular travel to the client's office in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area, as needed for team collaboration and business activities.
