Job Title: EP Tech

Profession: Electrophysiology Technologist

Specialty: Radiology

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 07:00-17:30

Experience: Minimum 2 Years

License: RCIS or RCES or RT(R) (or eligible to sit for the RCIS)

Certifications: Required certifications as described above

Must-Have: Advanced skills in scrubbing for ablations and device implants. Ability to monitor and pace during ablation cases.

Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. The unit has a capacity of 370 beds. Patient ratios are not applicable as this is a procedural position. Type of equipment includes GE Innova, Medtronic Cryoconsole, and Carto Mapping. Documentation system is MacLab/Meditech. Unit scheduling requirements include 4-10 hour shifts per week. Support in the prep/recovery area as needed may be required. Call is not required for electrophysiology but can be picked up in the cardiac catheterization lab if desired. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. No weekend work is required. Procedures performed include RF and Cryo ablations, device implants, Watchman, and Micra. Dress code consists of teal blue scrubs that are supplied. This position offers access to newer procedure rooms and equipment. There is an engaged physician champion. The goal is to build a team separate from other staff.
