Job description

SPORT: VARSITY FOOTBALL
POSITION: OFFENSIVE LINE COACH
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director/HS Principal
The Varsity Football Offensive Line Coach at Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School for the SY 2026-2027 fall athletic season is a vital component of our athletic program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Promote a culture of "Character, Community, and Excellence" while supporting the overall vision of the football program.
  • Technical Instruction: Teach and refine fundamental offensive line skills, including stance, footwork, hand placement, and blocking techniques (zone, gap, and pass protection).
  • Game Planning: Assist the Offensive Coordinator in developing weekly run-game and protection schemes based on opponent film.
  • Player Development: Lead position-specific drills during practices and manage offensive line rotations during games.
  • Training & Mentorship: Conduct structured practice sessions to improve athletes' skills, stamina, and technique; foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic accountability.
  • Film Study: Utilize Hudl and other tools to review game and practice film, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all MIAA rules, as well as all AKF student, employee, and athletic handbooks.
  • Operations: Maintain inventory of equipment, uniforms, and first aid supplies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Director regarding all aspects of the program.
  • Culture: Model AKF Character virtues at all times and instill a competitive, team-oriented mindset in all student-athletes.
Requirements and Certification
  • Maintain current certification through the MIAA.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Successful completion of a CORI and SAFIS background check.
Stipend Details
  • Position/Activity: Varsity Football Offensive Line Coach
  • Stipend Amount: $3,200 (gross, pre-tax)
  • Stipend Period: August 2026 through end of athletic season
  • Payment Schedule: Paid in one installment on 11/27/2026 ($3,200)

This stipend is a flat-rate amount and not based on hourly work unless otherwise required by applicable law or the terms of a specific grant.
