First Coast Security Services, Inc. provides security services nationwide. We are seeking Security Officers to provide professional security services in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding areas. Security Officers are responsible for protecting client property, employees, visitors, and premises while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Officers are responsible for access control, monitoring entrances and exits, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, maintaining order, and enforcing client and company policies and procedures pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the premises.
Responsibilities
  • Control access to client facilities through established admittance and screening procedures.
  • Assist authorized visitors and employees with gaining entry to the facility.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and the movement of people and vehicles.
  • Prevent unauthorized or unlawful entry and respond appropriately to disturbances.
  • Conduct foot patrols throughout assigned areas.
  • Prepare accurate security logs and incident reports.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents according to established procedures.
  • Perform other security-related duties as required for the assigned post.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Florida Unarmed Guard Card.
  • Must fluently speak, read, and comprehend English and compose coherent written reports in English.
  • Must maintain all required licenses, permits, and certifications.
  • Must successfully pass required background and controlled-substance screenings.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be reliable, professional, and able to perform the essential duties of the position.
Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of unarmed security or law enforcement experience; OR
  • Minimum of two (2) years of honorable service in any U.S. Armed Forces component.
Education
  • High School Diploma; OR
  • GED; OR
  • Minimum of 60 credit hours in a related field from an accredited institution
