Opportunity

BrightSpark is seeking a strategic and collaborative Finance Director to oversee the organizationโ€™s financial operations and help guide longโ€‘term financial sustainability.

Working closely with the Finance Officer and the leadership team, the Finance Director will ensure strong financial stewardship across the organization and provide clear financial insights to support decisionโ€‘making and program success.

This leader will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, audit management, and grant financial compliance while leading and developing a team of finance professionals.   • A large portion of BrightSparkโ€™s funding comes from government and grant sources. The Finance Director will ensure strong financial oversight, reporting, and compliance with funding requirements.

  • The organization continues to evolve its financial tools, reporting structures, and workflows. This leader will help identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve financial visibility across departments.

Compensation
  • Hiring Salary Range: $128,556.00-$160,695.00
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • This is a fullโ€‘time salaried position requiring work during BrightSpark Early Learning Services Business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 amโ€‘5 pm, and requiring a willingness to work some evenings and weekends.

BrightSpark will determine the specific salary for the successful candidate based on factors including, but not limited to, the available budget, prior experience, skills, and education as they relate to the positionโ€™s qualifications. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total compensation package.

Other components of the total compensation package may include participation in group life, health and dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program(s), paid time off, and paid holidays.

Work Location
  • This position is a Hybrid position.
  • Hybrid positions at BrightSpark require at least two days in the office per week. These days may vary based on individual positions and departmental needs.
  • BrightSpark Early Learning Services employees in all types of work positions (hybrid, community, etc.) must attend training, meetings, events, or other work commitments at various BrightSpark Early Learning Services office locations or offโ€‘site locations in Washington State, including the New Employee Orientation in Renton, Washington.
