Job description

We are seeking a results-driven,ย hands-onย andย strategicย Director Finance (m/f/d)ย to join our leadership team in the US. Korber Pharma Packaging Materials LLC focuses on the development and production of secondary packaging materials for the pharmaceutical industry. The company belongs to the BU Korber Pharma Packaging Materials, where over 1,000 employees produce folding cartons, package inserts, and labels at six locations in Europe and the US. Packaging Materials is part of the unique Korber Pharma Ecosystem, providing machinery, materials, software and consulting services to the Life Science industry.

The Director of Finance will be responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the financial, administration, purchasing, compliance, tax and legal activities of the company, which has two locations: the main location in Camden, NJ, which houses most of the company's functions and our smaller production site in Apex, NC. The primary location will be in Camden, NJ. As the company's commercial conscience, you identify opportunities to increase efficiency and initiate cost savings.

Your role in our teamย 
  • You will direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reporting, tax returns, and governmental reports, and oversee the monthly closing process
  • You will develop highquality financial forecasts based on business projections and compare actual results to budgets and forecasts, making adjustments as needed
  • You will lead the financial planning process, recommend improvements to current methods, and define and maintain cost center and internal work order structures
  • You will analyze operations and customer margins to identify areas for improvements
  • You will support the purchasing function and lead strategic price negotiations with key suppliers
  • You will lead the department heads of Accounting, Controlling, HR, and work closely with other department leaders to monitor performance and make strategic recommendations
  • You will partner with the MD and President of Korber Pharma Materials LLC, the VP Finance of the BU in Europe and executive leadership to coordinate strategic planning, forecasting, performance management, and priority setting, serving as a trusted sparring partner
  • You will evaluate business case opportunities for expansion into new product or regional areas and lead strategic initiatives such as software implementations and ERP enhancements
  • You will support Korber Group M&A function in M&A projects and lead post-merger integration projects
  • You will manage compliance and legal matters, cash flow, banking relationships, working capital optimization, tax management, and transfer pricing
  • You will analyze business case opportunities for expansion and Capex projects
  • You will review KPIs regularly and initiate actions to ensure agility and sustained business performance
Your profileย ย 
  • You have a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; a Master's degree in Finance, MBA, and/or CPA is preferred
  • You have 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • You have 5+ years experience in strategic purchasing and negotiations with suppliers
  • You have a minimum of five years of manufacturing accounting experience; experience in the packaging industry is a strong plus
  • You have strong knowledge of accrualbased accounting principles
  • You have experience ensuring accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS/HGB
  • You have a solid understanding of workinprocess (WIP) accounting
  • You have experience with job costing and/or projectbased cost accounting
  • You have excellent management and supervisory skills
  • You have strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • You have proficiency with database systems and accounting software applications
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have the ability to support crosscultural collaboration and promote transparent communication
  • You have ERP system knowledge and handson experience; SAP experience is a strong plus
