The Company
Our Client is a boutique experiential agency based in Los Angeles and they are looking for a US Director to grow and expand their team. They are an agency creating bespoke events, experiences and popups for major brands across fashion, lifestyle, wellness, beauty and tech.
The Role
The US Director is a hybrid role for a hands-on leader who has oversight over both Business Development as well as the production and operational needs of the business. Remote hybrid in Los Angeles.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Business Development:
    • Owning and driving the pipeline through the full sales cycle - from sourcing and outreach through to managing inbound to contract close
    • Leading the RFP process
    • Actively sourcing new business and building relationships with brands, agencies and other clients
    • Nurturing and growing existing accounts and building on agency service offerings
  • Team Oversight:
    • Day to day leadership and oversight over a small team of direct reports
    • Manage staffing and hiring needs including freelance support for all projects
    • Developing and maintaining coordination, standards and workflow across Production, Sales, Logistics and Operations
    • Ensuring operational compliance across all F&B, licensing, safety, vendors and suppliers
    • Staying abreast of industry trends in events and experiential,. branding, creative and hospitality to improve and expand agency service offerings
  • Reports into the CEO

This Job is Ideal for Someone who has
  • 7+ years Event Production experience required within an experiential agency and/or vendor environment
  • Background as a Director of Production or Director of Operations, ideally
  • Experience in Business Development, Sales and/or Growth roles within the events industry, ideally
  • Proven experience leading event production and experiential projects from conception through to execution and reconciliation
  • Proven experience working with multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity within small agency environment, able to wear different hats and lead direct reports as well as being hands-on with project needs
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong staff management experience
  • Strong Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for events and drive to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure agency environment
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Experience managing and writing Client briefs
  • Proven experience managing large event production budgets
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Flexible, dependable, detail orientated, innovative, motivated and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional events
  • A thorough understanding of permitting standards and procurement
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently remotely. This role will be remote to start and eventually will return to office once permitted.
  • The Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed; as well as participate in overnight travel for events
  • Local and interstate travel may be required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 + bonus + benefits annually, dependent on experience. The salary is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, job-related qualifications, complexity of the role, market considerations, geographic location and region, and budgetary considerations. This is the anticipated base salary component of the total compensation package, which may include additional company benefits such as bonuses, commission, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
