Job description

Edible San Francisco Magazine is a quarterly food, arts, and culture magazine based in San Francisco, producing large-format dining experiences and events. We are looking to hire one senior seller to bring in the sponsors who underwrite them.

This role will focus on two programs:

  • HOMEGROWN is our immersive grocery store dinner series, transforming food ecosystems into theatrical supperclub concepts.
  • A 3-day food innovation conference launching in Q2 2027 in SF, exploring the intersection of food, trending technology, and civic arts engagement.

Role Description

The Experiential Sponsorship Sales Lead will focus on driving sponsorship revenue for events, experiences, and branded activations for the above listed programs. We're looking for someone with a substantial, verifiable track record of selling event sponsorships. We want direct event sponsorship sales experience (not agency-adjacent or partnership work).

This role will own the full cycle pipeline and report to the publishers: identifying and qualifying sponsors, building tailored packages, running outreach (calls, emails, meetings, presentations), and closing through proposal, negotiation, and contract.

Qualifications

  • Years of event sponsorship sales with consistent quota attainment, not one strong year
  • Five and six-figure sponsorships closed with data to substantiate
  • Proven experience underwriting an event or conference through sponsorship, ideally including a launch or relaunch
  • Enterprise account management in media, events, or experiential marketing
  • Working knowledge of the Bay Area market (brands, venues, agencies, and sponsors)
  • Fluency in publishing/advertising media to work it into a deal when it strengthens the offer
  • Familiarity or established relationships with CPG food and beverage, travel, hospitality, AG tech, grocery, or appliance categories

Details

  • Bay Area preferred, remote considered.
  • Base salary with commission.
  • Start date: Immediately, as soon as we find the right fit

To Apply

Email events@ediblesf.com with:

  • Resume and LinkedIn profile
  • A few sponsorships you're proud of (the brand, approximate deal size, and what you built for them)
  • One brand you'd want to go after for the 2027 conference and why
