JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Event Manager supports the City Director in executing successful event marketing and sales operations. This role assists in supervising on-site activities, supporting face-to-face package sales, researching event opportunities, recruiting, training and managing event staff, and ensuring event teams are positioned to meet performance goals. The Event Manager plays a key role in Face-to-Face package Sales, lead generation, staff support, and maintaining operational excellence at approved events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Event Sales & Lead Generation
  • Support and assist with face-to-face package sales at approved events
  • Actively engage with prospective customers to drive sales results
  • Processing deals on company merchant account and entering deals into system
  • Generate and track qualified leads for follow-up opportunities
  • Ensure sales presentations and messaging align with company standards
  • Assist in achieving and exceeding event performance goals
  • Assist in researching and identifying potential events aligned with company objectives
  • Evaluate event opportunities based on audience demographics, cost, and revenue potential
  • Provide recommendations and feedback to the City Director regarding participation
  • Support pre-event planning and preparation activities
  • Support ongoing recruitment of event staff prospects to maintain a strong talent pipeline
  • Assist in identifying, screening, and recommending qualified candidates
  • Help coordinate staffing schedules to ensure event coverage
  • Manages and supervises event staff during live events
  • Provide coaching and real-time performance feedback
  • Monitor staff professionalism, attendance, and adherence to company standards
  • Support on-site logistics and daily event operations
  • Complete and update event reports on a weekly basis.
  • Oversee and participate in the setup and breakdown of event displays and materials
  • Ensure displays meet brand standards and presentation guidelines
  • Maintain organization and accountability of event equipment and inventory
  • Perform other related duties & special projects as requested


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous sales or face-to-face marketing experience preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transport event displays and materials as required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel regionally to event locations
