Job description


As an Electrical Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will be engaged in the design, development and testing of electrical hardware components that support our aerospace products and technologies. You will work on innovative projects that enhance the performance, safety, and reliability of aerospace electrical systems.
You will work report directly to our Director of Engineering, working out of Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
For the first 90 days, new hires will work 100% onsite M-F.
In this role, you will impact the development and delivery of cutting-edge solutions that support Honeywell's aerospace initiatives, helping to drive innovation and maintain our leadership in the industry.
Responsibilities
  • Work with engineering teams to help release design and documentation changes within the Honeywell document management system.
  • Provide support to create change impact analysis in support of product changes, including but not limited to writing change impact analysis.
  • Test hardware modules and components in accordance with project specifications.
  • Provide support to write and revise customer notifications for product changes.
  • Participate in customer-facing meetings to support Honeywell product changes.
  • Assist with lab testing to help identify issues and quantify specifications and help provide root cause analysis of new issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist engineers with other tasks as required.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with exposure to aerospace or related industries.

  • Fundamental knowledge of circuit design, simulation, troubleshooting, and hands-on design/testing ability while applicable to aerospace systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in design and testing processes.
  • Proficiency with electrical design and simulation tools, and familiarity with testing equipment and procedures.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
  • Understanding of system integration and troubleshooting techniques in complex electrical systems.
  • Internship or co-op experience in aerospace electrical engineering or embedded systems.
  • Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
