Job Description
Master Heo's Tae Kwon Do Child Care (MHTKDCC) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Preschool Director to lead the daily operations of our child care program. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, possesses strong leadership skills, and is committed to maintaining a high-quality program in compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations.
EEC Director Qualifications- Must meet Massachusetts EEC qualifications for a Preschool Director position
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a suitable EEC Background Record Check (BRC)
- Must complete EEC Staff Orientation and EEC Essentials training
- Must meet all applicable EEC Lead Teacher requirements
- Must qualify through one of the EEC-approved Director pathways, which include a combination of education, professional development, and experience in child care leadership
Requirements- First Aid/CPR certification required or obtained within the required timeframe
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supervising and evaluating staff preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with families and manage program operations
- Experience in child care administration or program leadership preferred
- Basic computer and Google Drive skills required
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Director is responsible for providing safe, high-quality care and educational opportunities for children and overseeing the day-to-day operation of MHTKDCC.
Core Responsibilities- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety, well-being, and best interests of children in all aspects of program operations.
- Maintain a high-quality child care program while ensuring compliance with all EEC licensing regulations.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and administrative directives.
Program Administration- Supervise, support, and evaluate educators and staff
- Oversee program operations, staffing, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with EEC regulations and company policies
- Maintain required records, documentation, and reports
- Coordinate staff training and professional development
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and regulatory agencies
- Monitor program quality, safety, and child well-being
- Support enrollment, licensing, and program improvement efforts
Child & Program Support- Support curriculum implementation and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Assist educators in developing lesson plans based on state requirements and children's developmental needs
- Collaborate with staff to support children's growth and development
- Promote a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment for children and staff
Additional CompensationCandidates who hold a valid 7D license, or who are interested in obtaining one as a backup driver, may be eligible for increased and negotiable pay based on qualifications and licensing status.
The Company may assist with the 7D licensing process after completion of the 7D Driver Training Agreement.
ScheduleTypical hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM5:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Schedules may vary based on program needs.
