Job Title: Arts & Education Director Location: Houston, Texas Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried (40 hours/week) Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Job Description
FamilyPoint Resources (FPR) is seeking a visionary, mission-driven education leader with experience in K–12 settings to design, lead, and grow impactful education and arts programs. This individual will assess the evolving needs of children and families in our community and develop responsive, creative solutions that support academic success, personal growth, and long-term opportunity.
The ideal candidate will sustain and strengthen existing programs while thoughtfully designing new initiatives. Working collaboratively with FPR staff, volunteers, and community partners, this role will help empower children to break cycles of poverty through supportive relationships and enriching educational and arts experiences.

Job Responsibilities
Communicate and collaborate effectively with all FPR staff to ensure program alignment and success
Understand, uphold, and actively promote the mission and values of FamilyPoint Resources, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
Create, plan, and implement high-quality education and arts programming during the school year and summer, setting achievable short- and long-term goals
Sustain and improve existing programs while developing new initiatives in response to community needs
Organize and maintain program spaces in coordination with FPR staff
Coordinate attendance and participation tracking; develop and implement methods for evaluating program outcomes.
Identify and secure resources needed to support program growth and effectiveness
Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, teachers, counselors, school administrators, community organizations, volunteers, and donors
Communicate program delivery strategies with volunteer coordinator, volunteers, contract staff, and FPR Staff
Develop supportive, trusting relationships with children
Assess individual and group needs and implement solutions that support academic, social, emotional, and physical development
Job Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited postsecondary institution
Minimum of three years of experience working with children in an educational and/or arts-based setting
Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation
Proficient in MacOS and Windows operating systems; experienced with web-based applications, email, word processing, spreadsheets, and digital communication tools
Excellent self-motivation, organization, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with humility, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and ask questions


Schedule & Compensation 

Full-time, 40-hour-per-week position; typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekend events.

Competitive salary range of $56,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and organizational budget.
