Job description

The Director of Editorial & Content is a hands-on leader responsible for shaping Temple Health's editorial vision, translating brand and business development objectives into compelling, high-impact, multi-channel digital storytelling that drives visibility and engagement in alignment with enterprise goals. Reporting to the AVP of Communications, and in collaboration with units across the Marketing & Communications team alongside partners across the health system and University, this role owns content strategy and editorial execution - setting strategic direction while personally driving high-impact work.
An accomplished storyteller with keen editorial and aesthetic sensibilities, the Director serves as the organization's chief editorial strategist, setting and maintaining production standards while guiding workflows and contributing to content development. The Director manages a focused, high-performing team and works in close partnership with Media Relations, Strategic Communications, Brand, Digital, Marketing, Advancement and enterprise leaders to ensure content consistently reflects Temple Health's mission, priorities, and values.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field Required
Master's Degree Preferred
Experience
8 years of progressive experience in digital content production, editorial communications, journalism, content strategy, or related discipline Required
3 years experience in team leadership Preferred
General Experience in healthcare, academic medicine, higher education, or similarly complex, mission-driven organizations Preferred
