Job description

Summary
In accordance with the goals and initiatives set forth by the Company and Document Control Department; the Document Controller will be responsible for managing company documents, adhering to the company's document procedures and archiving inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
The Document Controller will support the following project functions:
  • Process incoming and outgoing documentation
  • Respond to Document Control requests and inquiries in an accurate and timely manner
  • Perform document archiving and filing (electronic and hard copy) of vendor documents and drawings
  • Inspect documentation to ensure all documentation meets Document Control standards
  • Distribute and expedite supplier documentation for review and approval as required
  • Update project folder with revised documentation
  • Attend weekly project meetings
  • Build Electronic Data books for final documentation
  • Build relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders
  • Track and expedite project deliverables
  • Read and understand project specifications per contract
  • Work with vendors to ensure deliverables on projects are being received per deliverables list
  • Ensure alignment with the Document Control procedures and ensure any deviations are tracked and controlled
  • Provide back-up document control support on other projects
  • Ensure that all metadata field is accurately maintained and updated in each Master Deliverables Register
  • Prepare and update weekly status reports
  • Adjust work schedule based on project document control needs- Document Controllers will be required to periodically adjust regularly scheduled hours to support clients and engineering teams
  • Provide weekly reporting for the project and client needs
  • Meets all document control deliverable timelines as specified by the Engineering Project team and Document Control Supervisor
  • Model and champion Enerflex core values
  • Adhere to and promote Enerflex's HSE policy

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Associate degree in business or related Field Preferred
  • 5-10 years' experience in an administrative or Documentation Control environment
  • Exposure to the oil & gas industry would be preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and customer service skills
  • Experienced with working in an environment demanding strong organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, ethical behavior, and team player
  • Willing to continuously and proactively collaborate, share, and seek guidance through open dialogue
