Job Overview

DMC Power is seeking Warehouse Associate to perform production related tasks required in daily operations within one of the manufacturing business areas.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse/Receiving Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the picking and packing of sales orders, the movement of materials/products within the stores and assembly areas, regular stock checks and stock rotation.

A Day In The Life

Despatch Duties & Responsibilities

• To pick and pack orders in accordance with paperwork issued to Stores for despatch.

• Ensure that customer orders are packed using suitable packing material in relation to weight/dimensions of product being despatched/exported and are follow customer packing instructions where applicable.

• Ensure all essential day to day paperwork in relation to daily collections are completed on the day of despatch

• Preparation of despatch documentation and certificates for customer orders as required and in accordance with quality procedures

• Ensure dispatch paperwork is passed to shipping dept. for invoicing per department Key Performance Indicators.

• Liaise between Carriers, Shipping and Sales Department to resolve any issues which may cause delay.

• Checking dispatch notes according to the approved procedure, to minimize short shipments or customer complaints

Warehouse Duties & Responsibilities

• Goods In – To carry out loading and unloading of deliveries and movement of stock within warehouse as requested by Stores Supervisor.

• Work with Goods In to maintain the storage shelves and products in them, keeping them clean and tidy and to organise product so that stock rotation effects last in last out.

• Movement of products – to take products to assembly area from stores and from goods in area to designated stores area, as requested.

• Carry out regular stock checks as issued by stock control and work with them to resolve any queries that may arise.

• Assist Stock control with annual stock take as required

• Relocate or dispose of written off stock as directed by Quality/Stock Control Manager.

• Operation and daily checks of ForkLift Truck as required (subject to appropriate qualifications and certification).

• Carry out occasional driving/delivery/collection duties as required.

• Maintain a clean and clutter free working environment whenever practicable or as directed by the warehouse supervisor.

• Flexible worker – from time to time, the organization may require you to carry out tasks in addition to your normal duties, provided these tasks are both reasonable and within your capabilities. During busy periods or material/production delay, you may be asked to work overtime to minimize delay to customer.
