Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to work on-site at least 2 days per week at our office in Mississauga. The remaining days may be worked remotely, subject to team and business needs.

About the Role (Job Summary):

The Sr. Director, Digital Marketing Operations is responsible for shaping and executing the organization's digital platform and marketing technology strategy. This leader oversees digital products, marketing platforms, operational processes, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performing digital experiences that support business growth and customer engagement.

This role combines strategic leadership, digital product management, marketing technology (MarTech) expertise, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will partner closely with Marketing, Technology, Digital Product, and Business leaders to optimize platforms, improve operational effectiveness, and advance digital transformation initiatives.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Digital Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a multi-year digital platform and marketing technology strategy aligned with organizational and commercial objectives.

  • Establish strategic priorities, operational standards, performance metrics, and governance frameworks for digital marketing operations.

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Digital Product & Platform Management:

  • Own the roadmap and lifecycle management of digital products, including websites, mobile applications, and other marketing-enabled platforms.

  • Partner with Technology and Digital Product teams to prioritize enhancements, ensure platform reliability, and deliver exceptional user experiences.

  • Represent business stakeholder requirements throughout planning, development, testing, and deployment activities.

Marketing Technology & Operations:

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, integration, and optimization of marketing technology solutions, including CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.

  • Establish operational processes and governance to support the efficient deployment of marketing content across owned digital channels.

  • Drive operational excellence through process improvement initiatives and automation opportunities.

Analytics & Performance Optimization:

  • Evaluate performance metrics, customer insights, and digital analytics to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Translate data into actionable recommendations that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving digital best practices to maintain a competitive advantage.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external vendors.

  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, service-level agreements, and solution delivery performance.

  • Influence enterprise-wide decisions related to digital capabilities, technology investments, and operational priorities.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, marketing operations, marketing technology, digital product management, or related disciplines.

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leadership of managers and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.

  • Experience developing and executing digital platform, marketing technology, or digital transformation strategies.

  • Experience managing websites, mobile applications, digital platforms, or enterprise marketing technology solutions.

  • Experience working with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, content management systems, and digital analytics solutions.

  • Experience managing budgets and optimizing ROI.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience in healthcare, retail, distribution, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
