Overview:

The Director of Administration is responsible for leading the company's administrative operations, strategic procurement initiatives, workplace operations, and commercial vendor management functions across multiple business areas. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational scalability, infrastructure growth, and organizational efficiency in a fast-paced technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee strategic procurement activities for hardware, software, equipment, and business services within a high-tech business environment, including vendor sourcing, supplier evaluation, purchasing strategy, and cost optimization initiatives.

Manage the acquisition and lifecycle planning of manufacturing, production, and operational equipment in partnership with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to support organizational growth and business expansion.

Direct large-scale corporate projects including office expansions, facility renovations, workspace planning, infrastructure improvements, and capital projects, ensuring execution within scope, timeline, and budget requirements.

Oversee workplace operations and office planning initiatives, including space utilization, workplace design, operational efficiency, and administrative support services across multiple departments and locations.

Lead complex commercial negotiations with vendors, contractors, suppliers, and service providers, including pricing strategy, service agreements, supplier performance management, and long-term partnership development.

Review, negotiate, and manage contractual and commercial terms to mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks while ensuring alignment with company policies and business objectives.

Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Engineering, IT, HR, and Operations teams to drive efficient execution of strategic initiatives and enterprise operational priorities.

Develop and enhance administrative, procurement, and operational policies, internal controls, governance practices, and standard operating procedures to improve organizational effectiveness and scalability.

Lead and mentor administrative and operational staff while fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, streamline vendor management processes, and enhance workplace and infrastructure effectiveness.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

10+ years of progressive experience in administration, operations, facilities, or business management leadership roles.

Proven experience managing facilities, procurement, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.

Strong leadership, organizational, and project management capabilities.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead operational improvements and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

Salary range: $160,000 - $230,000
