Job description

Description

Sifted is a team of intelligent, creative, and collaborative people leveraging Logistics Intelligence to solve complex problems for shippers. Our software gives shippers the clarity and control they need to make decisions, optimize their operations, and save money. We're changing the way parcel supply chain management is done - and this is just the beginning.

We're driving a transformative shift in the logistics industry, redefining what's possible for our clients - and AI is at the core of that evolution. Our proprietary SiftedAI platform delivers predictive intelligence and automation that enable businesses to make smarter, faster, and more confident decisions. Internally, every team member is expected to leverage AI to optimize how they think, create, and deliver. We believe mastering AI is fundamental to our speed, excellence, and competitive edge.

If you get excited about defining market verticals, building at the intersection of data and logistics, and making a tangible impact - Sifted is the place for you.

You will report directly to the SVP of Client Experience and Operations and collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Sales, Client Success, and Finance. This is a high-visibility role with real authority over one of Sifted's most critical functions - and a direct line to senior leadership from day one.

What you'll be part of

We're at an inflection point. The product is leading the market, the customer results are real, and we're building the engine - to reach more of the right buyers at scale. You won't be walking into a finished machine. You'll be helping build it.

That means the work is meaningful, the pace is fast, and what you do here shows up in the numbers.

AI isn't a talking point here - it's how we work

SiftedAI Copilot is our flagship product and the core of everything we do. It's an always-on logistics analyst built across the entire SiftedAI platform, continuously monitoring our clients' parcel operations in the background and surfacing what actually needs attention.

That same standard applies internally. Every Sifted employee is expected to use AI to work faster, think sharper, and deliver more. Mastering AI tools isn't a nice-to-have. It's core to how we operate and how we stay ahead.

As Director of AI-Driven Operations, you will own the end-to-end operational backbone of Sifted. You will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, meeting client SLAs, and driving AI-powered automation across every operational workflow within the Operations Team. This role carries a dual mandate: run operations with precision and reliability today, while systematically replacing manual effort with intelligent automation for tomorrow. You will sit at the intersection of technical data operations and client-facing service delivery - making you critical to both platform reliability and client satisfaction as Sifted scales toward a fully AI-operated future. In this role, you will own...

  • the AI transformation agenda for the operations team - identifying, prioritizing, and executing initiatives that replace manual workflows with intelligent automation across all functions.
  • Driving continuous improvement of models that predict irregularities in data flow, reducing resolution time and preventing recurrence.
  • Establishing a culture of operational excellence rooted in AI fluency - where every team member is expected to leverage AI tools to work faster, smarter, and with greater accuracy.
  • Defining, tracking, and reporting on key efficiency metrics: automation rate, manual effort eliminated, error resolution speed, SLA adherence, and cost per transaction.
  • Staying current on emerging AI capabilities and proactively evaluate new tools and workflows that can further compress operational costs and improve output quality.
  • Partnering with Engineering and Product to build and deploy AI-powered automations, continuously raising the automation rate across every operational function.
  • Hiring, training, and coaching team members to ensure role clarity, accountability, and a shared commitment to AI-driven ways of working.
  • Fostering a team culture centered on quality, ownership, and client satisfaction.
  • Manage team headcount, resources, and operational budget in alignment with company targets.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in data operations, logistics technology, client services, or service delivery, including 3+ years of people management.
  • Proven experience managing client-facing service-oriented teams at scale.
  • Demonstrated success in leading automation initiatives and cross-functional collaboration between technical and business teams.
  • Process-oriented leader with experience optimizing or scaling operational workflows in a fast-moving technology environment.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI as an operational tool - you've used it, you advocate for it, and you hold your team accountable for adopting it.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong reporting skills; familiarity with service platforms or ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Jira) is a plus.
  • Track record of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational level - able to set direction and roll up your sleeves when needed.
  • Urgency and decisiveness in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

 WHAT WE PROVIDE

  • Well capitalized Private Equity investor focused on Growth
  • Best-in-class compensation package and an unmatched comprehensive benefit program
  • Flexibility to achieve and accomplish results
  • Extremely collaborative work environment across teams to drive results
  • Culture is built on how we improve people's lives
