Carrollton, TX โ€ข Hybrid

$21.50 - $26.75/hr

Full-time

Job description

DESIGN & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR,ย LEATHEROLOGYย

This is a hybrid position working at the office in Carrollton, TX three days a week.ย

Leatherologyย is looking for a Design & Product Development Coordinator with a sharp eye for detail,ย a natural instinctย for organization, and the drive to keep things on track in a fast-moving environment.ย You'llย play a hands-on role in how a product goes from first concept to launch, with real exposure to every stage along the way.ย

We'reย looking for someone genuinely passionate about accessories, design, and style, with a real point of view on what makes something look and feel premium.ย You'llย learnย the craft from the inside,ย reporting to andย working closely withย our Founder &ย Creative Director.ย

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESย

Design & Studio Supportย

  • Build a close, trusted working relationship with the Creative Director, developing a genuine understanding of the brand's aesthetic vision and design standards.ย

  • Research andย compile designย references for concept development: silhouettes, hardware, finishes, construction details, and competitive products. Maintain seasonal inspiration boards for products in development.ย

  • Manage day-to-day sample coordination โ€” ordering, tracking, cataloging, and archiving samples, and keeping the studio organized and easy to workย fromย so the right pieces are always ready for review.ย

Product Development Coordinationย

  • Help manage the development calendar: flag upcoming deadlines, track open items, and follow up proactively so nothing falls through the cracks.ย

  • Assistย with product development from concept through final confirmation, supporting sketch reviews and helping translate design intent and corrections into clear spec sheets and communications.ย

  • Prepare andย maintainย spec sheets, ensuring every detail โ€” leathers, hardware, dimensions, finishes โ€” is accurately documented and current, with meticulous records in both digital and physical formats.ย

  • Handle day-to-day factory and vendor correspondence under the guidance of theย Creative Director, helping keep development timelines and production schedules on track.ย

  • Support productย QC. Partner with our in-house customer service team and warehouse teams to stay close to customer product feedback โ€” using it to quicklyย identifyย any issues and work to resolve.ย

Material & Vendorย Managementย

  • Assistย with sourcing and ordering leather, hardware, packaging, and other components alongside our vendor partners.ย

  • Organize andย maintainย our leather and material libraries, the reference point for everything we make.ย

  • Create andย maintainย digital records including Material Data Sheets (MDS), style confirmations, running change logs, and design handoffs.ย

  • Help keep trim, hardware, packaging, and logo standards consistent across the line.ย

QUALIFICATIONSย

  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in product development, design, production, or project coordination. Internship and co-op experienceย counts.ย

  • Strong designย sensibility andย a genuineย appreciation for theย Leatherologyย aesthetic. This is essential. A portfolio, lookbook, or any visual examples thatย demonstrateย your point of view are highly encouraged and do not need to be accessories related.ย

  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented with an obsessive eye for quality.ย You'reย the person who catches the thing everyone elseย missed.ย

  • Strong written communication. Your emails to a factory are clear, specific, and easy to act on.ย

  • Creative, self-motivated, positive, and eager to learn with a "whatever it takes" attitude.ย

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience withย Figmaย or Photoshop is a plus, as is a willingness toย leverageย AI tools to work smarter.ย

  • Willingness to travel periodically,ย domesticallyย or internationally, if needed.ย
