APPOINTMENT FACTORS

1. Initial tours will be 4 years. Follow-on tour lengths may be from 1 to 6 years per ANGI 36-101.
2. Non AGR Person receiving a federal military retirement or retainer pay are not eligible.
3. Must meet the physical requirements of DAFI 36-2905, prior to being placed on AGR tour.
4. Members who are not suitable for Career AGR may be considered for an Occasional Tour.
5. Military grade will not exceed the maximum authorized grade on the unit manning document.
6. Must meet all AGR requirements of ANGI 36-101 and AFSC requirements of AFECD/AFOCD.
7. IAW ANGI 36-101, paragraph 5.10, applicants should be able to complete 20 years of active federal service prior to Mandatory Separation Date (MSD). Individuals selected for AGR tours that cannot attain 20 years of active federal Service prior to reaching mandatory separation must complete a Statement of Understanding contained in Attachment 3 of ANGI36-101 and obtain TAG waiver approval prior to starting AGR tour.
8. IAW ANGI 36-101, paragraph 6.6.1., members should remain in the position to which initially assigned for a minimum of 24 months. TAG may waive this requirement when in the best interest of the unit, State, or Air National Guard.
9. Hiring of an E-8/9 or O4+ is contingent on controlled grade availability.
10. IAW ANGI 36-101, paragraph 5.7, an individual must not have been previously separated for cause from active duty or previous Reserve Component AGR tour.
11. Must meet additional mandatory requirements for AFSC entry on attachment 4 of AFECD.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Reviews and evaluates all operations, deployment, contingency and exercise plans to ensure mission readiness for the Logistics Readiness Squadron. Ensures all unit members and deployable equipment maintain a constant state of readiness by verifying that personnel meet all Air Force, Combatant Command, and theater-specific deployment requirements. Manages the development of plans for deployments, contingency response, expeditionary support planning, sustainment, and redeployment. Compiles and updates status of Logistics Readiness Squadron, to include tracking and reporting of personnel, training, equipment and supplies. Responsible for generation of reports and for the assignment of proper security, classification and storage of classified documents. Manages and maintains unit readiness reporting through the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and analyzes combat capability to identify and correct deficiencies Configures, maintains, and validates Unit Type Codes (UTCs) in DCAPES, ensuring alignment with funded authorizations and reporting any shortfalls to the appropriate MAJCOM Functional Area Managers (FAMs). Serves as the primary advisor to the unit commander on all deployment-related matters, including tasking responses, shortfall mitigation, and the application of deployment policies. Develops, manages and controls Logistics Readiness Squadron training and career development programs. Incumbent is responsible for Automated Training Systems, products, and a multimedia library and for developing training policies and procedures.
Develops training, conducts and or coordinates formal classroom training, to include readiness deployment training for all Squadron personnel. Coordinates, develops, and administers management training programs for supervisory personnel. Instructs management personnel and trainers on the concepts, scope and objectives of training programs. Oversees and tracks all Career Development Course (CDC) actions, including waiver requests, reenrollments, and upgrade training (UGT) status to ensure timely career progression. Develops local training programs to accommodate procedural changes and coordinates changes to other career field areas to improve operational effectiveness when management indicators reflect potential trouble areas. Conducts Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs) at all flights to assess training program compliance, identify shortfalls, and provide commanders with documented feedback and corrective action plans.
SPECIALTY QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge. Knowledge is mandatory of logistics planning techniques in functional areas of supply, transportation, contracting, services, force protection, operations, personnel, comptroller, medical, and legal as impacted by, and as they impact organizational deployment readiness; Air Force operations and organization; processes of deployment, redeployment, reintegration, and reconstitution; command and control techniques; techniques of conducting readiness assessments; data processing and electronic data processing equipment; and basic budgeting techniques.
Education. Completion of high school or general educational development equivalency is mandatory.
Training. Completion of the AF Unit Deployment Manager Course and certification by the organization's host Installation Deployment Readiness Cell in core tasks is mandatory.
Other. The following are mandatory as indicated: For entry and retention: No recorded evidence of emotional instability, personality disorder, or other unresolved mental health problems. No record of substance abuse, financial irresponsibility, domestic violence, or child abuse. Never been convicted by a general, special, or summary courts-martial. Never received nonjudicial punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) which resulted in either reduction or suspended reduction in grade, or correctional custody. Never been convicted by a civilian court of Category 1, 2, or 3 offenses, nor exceeded the accepted number of Category 4 offenses. Category 3 and 4 traffic offenses alone are not disqualifying. NOTE: Categories of offenses are described and listed in AFI 36-2002, Regular Air Force and Special Category Accession, Uniform Guide List of Typical Offenses. For award and retention: Must maintain local network access IAW AFI 17-130, Cybersecurity Program Management and AFMAN 17-1301, Computer Security. Specialty requires routine access to Tier 3 (T3) information, systems, or similar classified environments. Completion of a current T3 Investigation required IAW DoDM 5200.02, AFMAN 16-1405, Air Force Personnel Security Program, is mandatory. NOTE: Award of the SDI without a completed T3 Investigation is authorized provided an interim Secret security clearance has been granted according to DoDM 5200.02, AFMAN 16 -1405.

This is used to verify AFSCs, aptitude scores, position status, time in service, time in grade, etc. This can be pulled from vMPF.
• Current Fitness Report. Current (within 12 months) Fitness report from myFitness in pdf format
• AF Form 422 Current (within 12 months), Physical Profile Serial Report. Other Service Components submit medical documentation that includes PULHES score. If any PULHES are a "3", a statement indicating that individual is Worldwide Deployable needs to be submitted. Contact your Medical Group to obtain your AF Form 422. A working copy will be accepted to show the process has been started if most current 422 is not within 12 months of the closing date. This is used to verify PULHES and medical readiness. Not mandatory for application but will be mandatory to start AGR tour if selected for advertisement.
• SF 181 - (Race and Ethnicity Identification). Form is optional and completion is voluntary. Please see further instructions on the form.
• All Other Service Component applicants must have their ASVAB raw scores converted to Air Force ASVAB scores and include them in a letter from either a Recruiter or MEPS Counselor.

NOTE:
