Job Summary
  • Seeking a Data Scientist to collaborate with technical teams, mission stakeholders, and decision makers to transform operational data into meaningful insights that improve mission effectiveness, workflow automation, and strategic decision-making
  • This role combines data analytics, visualization, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement to develop data-driven solutions that support critical systems and enterprise operations
  • The ideal candidate has experience analyzing complex datasets, developing metrics dashboards, identifying workflow improvements, and translating business needs into practical data solutions using modern analytical tools and technologies

Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights supporting mission objectives
  • Collaborate with technical teams, policy makers, and mission stakeholders to understand operational challenges and define data-driven solutions
  • Develop project scopes, use cases, and workflow integration strategies that improve operational efficiency and decision-making
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive metrics dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
  • Utilize Python and analytical tools to collect, cleanse, transform, analyze, and visualize enterprise data
  • Develop automated workflows and reporting solutions that streamline business processes and improve data accessibility
  • Support data governance initiatives by ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across multiple data sources
  • Analyze business processes and recommend opportunities for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools to support data management, reporting, and information sharing

Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)
  • Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position
  • Experience performing data analysis, business intelligence, or data science activities supporting enterprise operations
  • Experience developing metrics dashboards and data visualizations
  • Proficiency with Python for data analysis and automation
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting
  • Experience utilizing SharePoint for collaboration, document management, or workflow support
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) programs
  • Experience developing business intelligence dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms
  • Experience gathering requirements and developing business use cases for workflow automation initiatives
  • Knowledge of workflow management, process improvement, and business process analysis methodologies

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
135,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Ft. Meade MD)
