Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a wide variety of large-scale data science projects from the ground up, including framing data problems, identifying clear lines of questioning, uncovering and extracting value from new and old data sources, and checking your work against current business knowledge and best practice while having an eye towards improvement where possible.
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists by example. Provide technical guidance, set performance expectations, and facilitate professional development in hard and soft skills.
- Proactively stay ahead of industry trends, opportunities, and risks in the motorcycle and data science landscapes.
- Communicate important insight to immediate stakeholders and sr. leadership by creating clear and concise presentations of project results and other pertinent information.
- Develop plans to create and maintain models that predict the likelihood of movement through a customer journey (becoming a lead, purchasing product, accessorizing, churn, lifetime value, etc.), forecast and understand key sales drivers, optimize dealer sales potential, and drive the business by other means.
- Review performance of implemented plans and models as well as the effect of data science products on pricing, sales effectiveness, lead performance, and other key business metrics.
