Job description

SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Financial Systems and Analytics, transforms raw clinical, operational, and financial data into actionable business intelligence. This role builds, deploys, and maintains data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting systems within our outpatient imaging network. You will collaborate with IT teams, radiologists, and clinical staff to optimize operational efficiency, tracking key metrics like machine utilization, referral patterns, and patient wait times.
PRINICIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Consistently apply the corporate values of respect, honesty, fairness and constant pursuit of excellence in improving the health status for the people of the region through the provision of customer-friendly, geographically accessible and high-value services within the environment of a diagnostic imaging company.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data security standards across all reporting platforms, and federal and state regulations. Consistently apply these regulations to day to day analysis and summary of findings.
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards to track key performance indicators.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from sources like Electronic Health Records (EHR), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
  • Build automated reports analyzing machine utilization, imaging volume trends, denial rates, and patient turnaround times.
  • Prepare analysis on various clinical programs as requested. Gather business requirements from clinical directors and executives to deliver customized analytical solutions.
  • Validate data integrity and conduct root-cause analysis on data discrepancies.
  • Recommend updates to the computer system accordingly.
  • Perform special projects as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Acts as a resource to staff.
  • Maintain a professional manner at all times.
  • Participate in meetings on an as requested basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
  • At least three years of data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering experience, preferably in healthcare.

BASIC KNOWLEGE/SKILLS:
  • Proficient in Excel and Word with Access database skills.
  • Advanced skills in writing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards, workflows, and medical terminology (e.g., HL7, DICOM, CPT/ICD-10 codes).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be able to handle and prioritize workload and work independently.
  • High level of precision when working with sensitive clinical and financial data.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
