Job description

The Director, Enterprise Analytics & Insights provides strategic leadership for enterprise analytics, data stewardship, and insight-driven decision-making across Beacon Health System. This role works collaboratively with clinical, operational, financial, payer, and technology leaders to advance the organization’s analytics strategy, governance practices, and reporting capabilities.

The Director serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in the use of data and analytics to support quality outcomes, operational excellence, population health initiatives, and organizational performance. Through strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership, this role helps foster a culture where integrated, trusted data supports informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Stewardship & Integration

Collaborate with clinical, operational, financial, payer, and technology leaders to promote effective data stewardship practices across the organization.

Advance enterprise data strategies aligned with organizational priorities and analytics objectives.

Partner with Information Services leadership to align data architecture and engineering capabilities with enterprise analytics needs.

Promote the standardization, governance, and effective use of enterprise data assets to support accessibility, consistency, and informed decision-making.

Enterprise Analytics Strategy

Provide enterprise leadership for analytics platforms, governance, and enablement while partnering with clinical, operational, financial, population health, and payer leaders to define priorities and drive business value.

Collaborate with leadership teams to establish analytics priorities that align with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

Partner with stakeholders to develop and maintain enterprise KPI frameworks and performance measurement practices.

Identify opportunities where analytics and insights can support operational improvement, organizational performance, and strategic growth.

Enterprise Analytics Operating Model

Guide the ongoing maturation of the enterprise analytics operating model across Beacon Health System.

Support the development of analytics intake, prioritization, and value realization processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to align reporting, analytics, and advanced analytics capabilities through shared governance structures.

Facilitate the development of enterprise metric certification and stewardship practices.

Promote adoption of standardized reporting and self-service analytics capabilities.

Support enterprise analytics governance practices through collaboration, education, and stakeholder engagement.

Quality, Safety & Patient Experience Analytics

Lead the development of analytics strategies supporting quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives.

Partner with organizational leaders to translate complex clinical and operational data into actionable insights.

Provide strategic guidance for analytics supporting patient experience initiatives and organizational performance improvement.

Support external reporting requirements through strong data quality and reporting practices.

Apply clinical and operational expertise to help ensure analytics methodologies and performance measures align with organizational needs and industry standards.

Population Health & Value-Based Care Analytics

Provide leadership in the use of analytics to support population health and value-based care initiatives.

Collaborate with payer, operational, and clinical teams to develop insights supporting quality programs and managed care strategies.

Partner with stakeholders to establish consistent approaches for patient attribution, care management analytics, and population health reporting.

Enterprise Analytics Platform Strategy

Guide the evolution of enterprise analytics platforms and supporting roadmaps.

Provide strategic oversight and direction related to Health Data Intelligence and Analytics Cloud capabilities.

Collaborate with Information Services and data engineering teams to support scalable and sustainable analytics solutions.

Support the development of trusted enterprise data assets and semantic models.

Lead efforts to modernize analytics capabilities and promote adoption of governed enterprise reporting solutions.

Foster a self-service analytics culture that enables appropriate access to trusted information across the organization.

Enterprise Data Governance

Partner with organizational leaders to advance enterprise data governance and stewardship practices.

Facilitate governance processes supporting consistent metric definitions, reporting standards, and data quality expectations.

Collaborate with clinical, operational, financial, quality, and payer leaders to clarify stewardship roles and decision-making processes.

Support ongoing monitoring and improvement of enterprise data quality and reporting integrity.

Convene cross-functional stakeholders to promote alignment and transparency across enterprise analytics initiatives.

Facilitate resolution of reporting and metric-related questions through established governance processes.

AI & Advanced Analytics Strategy

Collaborate with organizational leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for advanced analytics and AI-enabled solutions.

Support governance practices that encourage responsible, ethical, and effective use of predictive analytics and artificial intelligence technologies.

Partner with stakeholders to evaluate and implement AI-enabled analytics capabilities that support clinical and operational objectives.

Promote modernization and automation opportunities that enhance efficiency and scalability across analytics functions.

Executive Communication & Stakeholder Leadership

Serve as a strategic analytics partner to executive, clinical, and operational leaders.

Translate data and analytics into meaningful executive and board-level insights that support strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with payer organizations, clinical leadership, and operational stakeholders to support informed decision-making regarding quality, population health, and contract performance initiatives.

Provide strategic consultation and thought leadership regarding enterprise analytics, performance measurement, and data-informed decision-making.

Leadership Responsibilities

Lead enterprise analytics teams and associated functions.

Develop analytics workforce strategies and organizational structures that support organizational objectives.

Coach, mentor, and develop analytics leaders and emerging talent.

Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and data-informed decision-making.

Promote enterprise alignment around trusted analytics, shared standards, and meaningful performance insights.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business administration, informatics, analytics, information systems, nursing, medicine, or a related field.

Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, informatics, population health, or health information technology.

Demonstrated experience leading enterprise analytics programs within a complex healthcare environment.

Experience partnering with executive leaders and operational stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.

Knowledge of healthcare quality measures, regulatory reporting requirements, value-based care, and population health analytics.

Experience developing analytics governance, reporting strategies, and data stewardship practices.

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.

Preferred Experience

Doctoral degree, medical degree, or advanced clinical credentials.

CHCIO, FHIMSS, CPHIMS, or equivalent healthcare leadership certification.

Experience with Oracle Health/Cerner environments, Health Data Intelligence, or enterprise analytics cloud platforms.

Experience leading AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or advanced analytics initiatives.

Multi-entity health system leadership experience.

Experience supporting board-level reporting and enterprise transformation initiatives.

Work Environment

Hybrid office environment with periodic travel to Beacon Health System locations.

Frequent interaction with executive leadership, physicians, operational leaders, clinical teams, and external partners.

Requires the ability to manage multiple strategic priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
