The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to launch an accounting career in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

In this role, you will assist with a variety of accounting tasks including data entry, reconciliation, and supporting the month-end close. You will work directly with the Controller and other team members to learn and grow in a collaborative and supportive setting. If you're passionate about numbers, accuracy, and learning the foundations of corporate accounting, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting tasks such as data entry and transaction processing.
  • Help with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of financial transactions.
  • Contribute to audit preparation by organizing supporting documentation.
  • Help maintain internal control procedures and accounting documentation.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Controller and accounting team.
  • Participate in team projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.


Qualifications, skills, and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or in final year of completing degree).
  • 0–3 years of accounting or finance experience (internships, part-time roles, or school projects count!).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables).
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software – a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to take on new challenges.


Additional Details

  • This is a full-time, W2 role based in the U.S.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Candidates must be local to the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Relocation is not an option.
  • 100% onsite work is required.
