Summary

Credit Card Program Administrator

The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers. The Credit Card Program Administrator provides essential operational and administrative support for the organization’s corporate credit card program. This role is responsible for card issuance, account maintenance, documentation management, and day-to-day coordination with cardholders and internal departments. The Administrator ensures that all activities align with established policies, internal controls, and service standards. Responsible for independently identifying and resolving the root cause of credit card related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the issuance, renewal, cancellation, and maintenance of corporate credit cards in alignment with program policies. Manage day-to-day contact and relationships with financial institutions, including handling administrative tasks such as card orders, credit limit changes, and account updates
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cardholders, providing support with account setup, system access, card functionality, policy guidance, and general program inquiries. Monitor shared inboxes and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally. Participate in a shared weekend support rotation with fellow administrators
  • Independently exercise critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of card issues and drive timely resolution of banking and program-related issues
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of cardholder accounts, required documentation, and approvals
  • Assist with cardholder onboarding, including training on policies, documentation requirements, and system navigation
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and service quality

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: Associate degree
  • Experience Requirements: 4-6 years experience in relevant field
  • Travel requirement: No travel requirements

Supervisor Responsibility

Direct Reports: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

Indirect Reports: Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of corporate credit card programs
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Understanding of basic internal controls or compliance processes

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically, requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may require the ability to lift up to 10lbs.
