Position Overview

Design and Innovation are the heartbeat of our brand. We are seeking a Global Creative Design Director; a culturally attuned leader across beauty, fashion, sport, and food and beverage. A leader who will drive the future of our color, concept, and print vision while celebrating the heritage of the Stanley 1913 brand.

A design catalyst and a future thinker, this role is for a product leader who blends consumer insights, creative direction, color and concept leadership and cultural relevance to shape the overall seasonal Design Direction for Stanley 1913 products. From concept through craft, ensuring creative direction is modern, culturally relevant, and unmistakably iconic.

They will serve as a connector between Design and creative partners across the Stanley 1913 ecosystem, leading with consumer compassion, clarity of vision, and creative courage, reporting to the VP of Innovation and Design.

What you'll do
  • Define and evolve Stanley 1913's visual design language, ensuring consistency and excellence across product touchpoints.
  • Own the creative vision for Softgoods and Hardgoods, partnering with Insights, Innovation, ID, CMF, and Design Leadership to identify trends and shape seasonal direction.
  • Drive Global Product Creative Direction from concept through launch, ensuring alignment while maintaining a distinct design identity.
  • Develop a cohesive seasonal color strategy across core, seasonal, and novelty collections.
  • Collaborate with Express Lane and Partnerships teams to drive brand relevance and speed-to-market execution.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design Leadership, Merchandising, Product Management, and Brand Creative to ensure alignment and impactful storytelling.
  • Present creative work to senior leadership, clearly articulating vision, rationale, and business impact.
  • Champion a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous design improvement.
  • Balance critical thinking with hands-on creative leadership and execution.
  • Stay current on trends in fashion, design, technology, culture, and sport through the lens of the Stanley 1913 consumer.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the color and concept design team.
Who you are
  • Strong understanding of the Stanley 1913 brand and competitive landscape.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated ability leading concept, design, or product design direction.
  • 5+ years as a people leader
  • Proven ability to translate fashion, sport, and culture into compelling global creative direction.
  • Experience developing brand-defining creative direction informed by trends, insights, and cultural influence across style and food culture.
  • Ability to translate insights into seasonal design direction in partnership with Innovation, CMF, and Industrial Design teams.
  • Hands-on creative leader with exceptional taste and a clear point of view, able to operate from concept through execution.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills, with confidence engaging executive leadership.
  • Ability to analyze and apply trends in color, materials, and innovation.
  • Excellent communicator with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experienced mentor with a passion for developing talent and building impactful teams.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; AI experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in design, BFA, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
