Job Description Job Summary Prepares and maintains accuracy of accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to procedural standards. Provides management with accurate information in the areas of cost, payroll, and forecasting in an efficient manner. At this level, tasks and assignments tend to be complex, non-routine and/or require a greater level of expertise and duties are performed under very limited supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
* Responsible for uploading financial data to OneStream the Corporate Consolidation system.
* Responsible for SEC reporting to the Corporate office.
* Provides record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
* Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for managers.
* Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
* Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
* Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state and local reports and tax returns.
* Serves as back-up for other accounting duties.
* Supports the preparation of year-end audit files and analysis.
* Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership to lower-level Accountants including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization's policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Reasoning Ability: * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. * Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this position successfully, the individual must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel required. The candidate should also demonstrate proficiency with financial systems, including a solid understanding of how they function, the ability to troubleshoot system issues effectively, and the capability to identify and implement practical solutions.
