Job description

Duties

You will guide and direct the accomplishment of work, planning work to be accomplished by the design division and personnel, setting priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work within the division.

You will perform and/or direct the full range of design, ship construction planning, manufacturing, and related functions.

You will coordinate and host meetings and negotiations to develop joint programmatic technical approaches to various program elements.

You will review the assessment of technological advances to determine potential impact.

You will be responsible for technical and technical management development.

You will identify problems and solutions to both the Department Head and officials with broader and higher responsibilities.

You will provide administrative and technical supervision to associated project staff and design/construction support division, including coordination of individuals having matrix responsibilities.

You will hear group grievances and serious employee complaints or those not resolved; reviews serious disciplinary cases (i.e., those proposing suspensions and removals, and disciplinary problems involving key employees.

You will supervise the following positions: Production Controllers and Team Leaders.
