Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk / Distribution Customer Service Representative to support daily warehouse and customer service operations. This role acts as a critical liaison between customers, the warehouse, transportation, and office teams, ensuring orders are processed accurately and customer needs are addressed promptly and professionally. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, experience with order processing and shipping documentation, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints regarding orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, and accounts.
  • Process and accurately enter customer orders into relevant systems.
  • Generate stock reports to verify product availability.
  • Prepare paperwork and documentation for customer work orders and shipments.
  • Coordinate special and last-minute shipping requests with Traffic and Operations teams.
  • Follow up with internal departments to ensure service standards and deadlines are met.
  • Verify computer-generated invoices for accuracy and proper billing.
  • Prepare shipping and tracking information for customers as needed.
  • Maintain damage records and back-order logs.
  • Communicate customer feedback and concerns to management.
  • Serve as a liaison between warehouse operations and customers regarding account administration.
  • Coordinate with office and customers regarding invoicing and credit changes.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork, files, and records related to customer orders.
  • Maintain procedure manuals and account-specific processing instructions.
  • Answer and route telephone calls professionally.
  • Greet visitors and assist with general office and clerical duties as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Customer Service Supervisor or Office Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic typing skills and familiarity with 10-key data entry.
  • Experience with shipping software and systems such as UPS and FedEx.
