Job description

General Summary:  
Assists Management with daily activity goals and objectives by providing direct leadership to the warehouse and/or delivery teams. Performs a variety of general duties within assigned warehouse department.  Specific duties may vary slightly between locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Performs all requirements of assigned department(s) (shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc); may provide assistance throughout the warehouse. 
2.    Coordinates warehouse staffing needs with Management. 
3.    Assists with departmental cross training and in professional development of team members.
4.    Prepares reports and completes documentation for Management.
5.    As the work flow requires:
          . Ensures verification takes place on all incoming and outgoing transactions.
          . Receives material from vendors into the business system and maintains related records.
          . Assists with unloading and loading of delivery vehicles.
          . Assists with inventory management including cycle counts as required.
6.    Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products.  Typically bends, stoops and/or crouches from various heights on a regular basis. 
7.    Operates forklift: proper training and certification required. May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies, handcart & conveyor).
8.    Assist in creating, implementing and revising procedures and work instructions.
9.    Supports the implementation and processes of TWL (if applicable) and the quality program.
10.    Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance to safety regulations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1.    High school diploma or GED.
2.    Two or more years of experience in warehouse operations.
3.    Ability to work with minimal supervision, organizing, prioritizing and completing of tasks.
4.    Basic PC skills with MS Office products required. 
5.    Operate computer terminal and other computer related equipment relevant to job duties.
6.    High level of initiative, commitment, and devotion to fulfill company mission statement.
