Job description

Position Summary
The Product Manager sits alongside our Portfolio Management and Structuring Teams helping develop content for investor meetings, respond to investor requests, and drive new product initiatives with a specialization in originated CLOs and bank loan strategies. Further, the Product Strategist serves as an important link between the investment and distribution teams. The strategist functions as a subject matter expert for originated CLOs and loan strategies, providing product commentary and responding to ad-hoc client inquiries, and supporting client-facing conversations. This role is based in our Stamford, CT office, full-time.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Help create materials across the full suite of investment capabilities for current and prospective clients and internal partners, including marketing teams. This includes client decks, RFPs and Due Diligence Questionnaires, with specialization on originated CLOs and bank loan strategies
  • Responsible for responding to investor questions, including the review and synthesis of data to clearly communicate portfolio positioning, performance attribution, risk attributes, investment structures and views of the team and convey this information effectively to clients
  • Responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of the evolving investment needs, product structures (i.e. jurisdictions, liquidity profiles, fees, vehicle types, etc.) and competitive landscape for both institutional and retail asset managers
  • Coordinate with and support our distribution and client service teams to cultivate and support new business opportunities and to service our existing institutional client base
  • Act as a subject matter expert for originated CLOs and loan strategies, providing product commentary, performance attribution, responding to ad-hoc client requests, and participating in client conversations
  • Assist the distribution team on the engagement of existing clients for re-ups and cross marketing opportunities
  • Work with CLO Structuring to maintain database of investor accounts in deals and funds

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, investment management, CLO structuring, or investment banking within asset management or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, including leveraged loans, CLOs, and structured credit
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate portfolio positioning, performance attribution, and risk analytics to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience supporting or collaborating with distribution/sales teams in an institutional asset management or financial services environment
  • Proficiency in creating and contributing to client-facing materials, including pitch books, RFPs, DDQs, market and investment commentaries, and thought leadership content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex investment concepts into clear, compelling narratives
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables across global teams simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data/reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct experience with CLO structuring, origination, primary/secondary CLO markets, or leveraged loan markets
  • Familiarity with CLO analytics platforms (e.g., Intex, Kanerai, Moody's Analytics) and portfolio management systems
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to staying current on market developments, competitive dynamics, and evolving client needs

Salary Range
