Job description

Rochester Recovery Behavioral Health is a voluntary residential treatment center serving adults with substance use disorders and mental health conditions in beautiful Minnesota looking top open in November. We're seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead our clinical team and oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.

This is a highly visible leadership position that partners closely with Executive, Medical, Nursing, and Operations leadership to shape the future of our growing treatment center.

Please Note: This position requires an active LICSW, LPC-S, LMFT-S license (or eligibility for Minnesota licensure prior to start) and previous clinical leadership experience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and supervise therapists, addiction counselors, clinical supervisors, and interns.
  • Oversee all clinical programming, documentation, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Minnesota regulations, Joint Commission standards, and payer requirements.
  • Conduct chart audits and provide clinical supervision.
  • Partner with Nursing, Medical, and Operations leaders to ensure exceptional client care.
  • Maintain a small therapy caseload as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Active LPC-S, ILCSW, or LMFT-S license (or eligible for Minnesota licensure before start date).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience overseeing licensed clinicians within a behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment program.
  • Strong knowledge of ASAM Criteria, co-occurring disorders, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred

  • Residential treatment or detox experience.
  • Experience with Joint Commission accreditation.
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin behavioral health regulations.
