Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-time Night Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Algoa Correctional Center located in Jefferson City, Missouri. Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.
The Travel Program RN will work between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Missouri, per contract needs. Each assignment will be restricted to one location. The RN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Registered Nurses work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.
• Associate's degree required
• Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one required
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
• Must have open availability to travel throughout the state as needed per contract needs
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Corrections experience preferred
• Must be 90+ miles from designated facility.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
