Job description

LOCATION

The desire is for the Director of Capture Management to reside in Wood Dale IL.  Potential accommodations could be made to facilitate virtual performance of duties.  Individuals must have reasonable access to a major airport and must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

SUMMARY

The Director of Capture Management is responsible for leading capture efforts, overseeing capture managers, conducting market analysis, and devising capture strategies to win contracts supporting DoD, US/foreign governments, and OEMs.  This leader will work closely with internal stakeholders, defense contractors, prime contractors, and OEMs in developing executable support and sustainment strategies resulting in lower life cycle costs for the customer, and reasonable profit for AAR.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Win contracts supporting DoW, US/foreign governments, and OEMs, and develop strategies to grow these markets

  • Interacts and collaborates across AAR's functional staffs and other AAR business units to generate cost effective winning capture strategies

  • Develops and supports the creation and pursuit of a capture pipeline in accordance with AAR strategic goals

  • Contributes and recommends business and marketing strategies to achieve maximum penetration consistent with Company financial objectives

  • Prepares customer and internal presentations

  • Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends the mission, values and culture of AAR

  • Ensures all capture activity is conducted in a compliant and ethical manner consistent with Government laws and the high standards of AAR

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • 8 years of related professional experience in defense or the defense industry with a focus on Product Support and Integration, Engineering Services, CLS, and/or supply chain management is required.

  • Knowledge of Shipley Capture and Proposal Management processes

  • Must have ability to obtain up to Top Secret level clearance.

  • Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or fifteen years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Drive consistent adherence to standardized capture and proposal SOPs

  • Consistently apply AAR's structured capture methodology

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $190,000 to $210,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
